Kraina Wolnych (Land of the Free)

Kraina Wolnych (Land of the Free) is my attempt to work through the emotional tension I experience as a queer woman engaging with their Polish culture. My love for both of these cornerstones of my identity can— and should— coexist. I want to embrace both with pride rather than guilt.

Combining traditional Polish elements with my personal artistic expression results in an homage to the culture that has shaped so much of who I am, while showing my gratitude for the freedom of expression that I am lucky enough to indulge in.
